work

It is all done and over with. I cannot believe. It was a mellow day on the whole...And I loved it. Too bad for them that the replacement they hired is completely worthless- they hired for personality over skills. Whoops on them! All I can say is good luck! I feel sorry for the receptionist, whom I love. She will never be able to get time off! But I am free, free as a bird now so I will not let it bother me...Fa la la..But I forgot to turn in my key so I must head back tomorrow. Eek.

This weekend we move to Vancouver! Woohoo! Hubby graduates from his masters program also. It is going to be a jam-packed weekend. The grandparents are also coming in from SD. Lots of people in tight places. But it is well worth it.

I have taken a break from knitting. Why? I am going to run out of yarn and rather than knit from the two balls I have, I wanted to get more and rotate from all the balls. But I have now gone to FOUR different craft stores, looking for Patons Classic Merino Wool, Bottle Green and have yet to find it. Any one want to trade? I have Winter White, Aran, or Cranberry or something like that...I just want one or two skeins, thats it! That is why I am avoiding buying over the internet until I really have to-I hate paying shipping....

Well..back to packing and cleaning..

2 weeks!

so the countdown is official! I am finally counting down my days at work! And it feels oh so great and right. They finally hired a new gal- she started yesterday but she only comes in for two hours in the mornnings because she is finishing up her old job. I gotta say, I am not impressed. But looks can be decieving and she has two more weeks to give a show. Lets hope she has what it takes.

I have packed more. Mostly my stuff because I honestly have no idea what my hubby needs and doesn't need to survive in his last couple of weeks of school. Speaking of which, he passed his big, comprehensive test of his whole masters program! How incredibly awesome is that!?! So proud of him! He will graduate on the 9th and then we are out of Ellensburg for good. Hiphip hooray! We go look at our apartment next weekend and move into the weekend after that. I just get jitterety thinking about it.

I went to many garage sales this weekend-sorely disappointed on the whole. But I did come across one lucky find. A big tupperware bucket of knitting needles for $5! Score! There are DPN's, straights, circs. I think it is all Boye but this means I can give my MIL most hers back. I am excited to go through them. I have already packed them up with most of my crafty stuff. I didn't want to start any new projects-so I put away temptation but packing it all away! Now I just start at the box longingly....

Next week the gals at work are throwing me a pizza party-Mmmm for Pizza Hut pan pizza, extra cheese, no toppings. I have to be extra good so I can have that goody goodness! Mmm...I can't wait for that!

2 more weeks! Woohoo!

Today was a good day..

Oh boy was it a good day! No, the treadmill did not get picked up but that meant I got to go shopping after work. I did stop by the LYS-it is so pretty there! So colorful and I stroked so many yarns I have heard about but never felt. It was great. Unfortunately, the only thing I bought was a small bottle of wool wash. I will go back and conquer that store- I just didn't know what to buy! I don't knit socks or other small projects so it was hard to just pick a small skein just for the kicks. Grr..

Then I headed off to Goodwill. It always soothes. Or tries. I bring in so much to the fitting rooms and only so much go back to the clerk. How sad. Where did that belly come from anyway? I better think about taking care of that. :) But I did come out with a skirt- oh la la and a grand purse. Every woman needs another purse. Especially since I am getting rid of two. I do need to replace them, right?

Yay for new purses! I can't wait to break that in! (Though I think the breaking in has been done, but I get a "new" purse regardless of that minor fact)

And then when I came home-surprise- A box on the counter for me! Yay! My yarn from KnitPicks came in! Woohoo! I ordered some delicious Ambrosia when they were having their sale.. I want to try to make a sweater of some sorts. Now I need a pattern. Until then I will just stroke the yarn..:)

On a final note, here is my blanket, pre-blockage...Oh boy!

Hmm..

So I think I am half way done with a blanket. (Don't quote me on this) Sorry, no pic. I want to block it but...Yeah.. I am using up my Patons Merino Wool and I have been researching on how I need to do this. Should I just use water and some soap? Or should I head out to the new LYS so I can buy some wool wash? But want kind of wool wash would I buy? How much do I use? Oh, so many questions...But that does give me an excuse to go to the LYS..Hehehe..

I sold our treadmill this past week-it is getting picked up tonight. So I would have room in the spare bedroom to block. Soon that room will be filled up with boxes as I start to pack up more and more. The countdown is getting closer and closer-we move in almost a month! Yay! We did approved for a place, I do not know if it is the upstairs apt. or the downstairs beauty. Hmmm. Soon I will know..

Until then, I will have to ponder on my dilemma for the day-wool wash or not? And what will I eat for lunch?
